This pretty semi detached thatched cottage is tucked away in Bucks Mills, a picturesque village on the edge of the sea. Full of character features including pine latch doors, small paned windows with deep sills and wooden flooring; it is perfect for couples looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Approached by several steps through the front garden the entrance door opens directly into the charming living/ dining room with an impressive stone inglenook and comfy sofa. The country style kitchen is fitted in pine and to the rear of the cottage, with two steps up, is a separate utility room and spacious refurbished modern bathroom. Upstairs are two lovely bedrooms, carpeted for comfort and one having a sloping ceiling in parts. Tiered lawns and multi level gardens, not suitable for small children, give ample space to relax with the sound of the stream meandering by. A gentle stroll will take you down to a rocky beach with sandy areas, as shown in the website photograph. There are plenty of rock pools, good for prawning, and you will find the view along to Clovelly and out to Lundy Island quite spectacular. Just under a mile up the lane you will conveniently find the local post office and store. In an idyllic location, Emily’s is sure to delight all visitors and is a welcoming home to return to after exploring all that this beautiful area has to offer.

A gravel path and steps lead up to the front entrance and into the open plan living room with comfy leather sofa and flat screen wall mounted TV. The modern kitchen area is well equipped, featuring a breakfast bar, and there is one double bedroom with an ensuite shower room. Weez House is an ideal choice for surfers, and keen walkers will enjoy exploring the footpath leading almost from the doorstep to the stunning beach at Putsborough around 20 minutes away. To holiday with friends we also have a cottage called Thatcher’s Leggett in the same location. Croyde offers everything you could need in a seaside village, a renowned surfing beach, character cottages and a great selection of pubs and restaurants. Weez House is something a little different, perfect for couples and a welcoming retreat at the end of a fun filled day. Please note that infants are not accepted.

Just a few miles to the north, Exmoor National Park has something for everyone, walking, climbing, cycling or just enjoying a cream tea in the coastal resort of Lynmouth where spectacular cliffs plunge down to the sea. Adjacent to the owners own home we are delighted to offer four high quality stone built cottages, recently converted from the original farm buildings, using ECO friendly under floor heating and with excellent facilities. Overlooking the shared front lawned garden, each cottage has an individual patio with garden furniture. A special treat is the outdoor Jacuzzi Spa Pool which is available to all guests throughout the year. A discount of 10% is available should all of the cottages be booked together for a group of family or friends.
