Accommodation overview: Less than a ten minute walk from Fistral beach and with delightful views of the Gannel Estuary and National Trust land towards Crantock beach, this comfortable and spacious split level detached house is set on the hillside just half a mile from Pentire Headland.  The house was architecturally designed in the 1970's and still retains the charm of the era.  It is perfectly situated in a sheltered position on a south facing slope with lovely coastal walks nearby and just a mile from the harbour and town of Newquay

Approached from the gated driveway where there is parking for 2 cars, a few steps lead down through the garden to the front door which opens to an entrance hallway at mid level and an adjacent twin bedroom overlooking the tree shaded lawn.  From the hallway, a short flight of carpeted stairs leads up to a large open plan split level dining and living area.  The bright and sunny sitting area has comfortable leather furniture.  The lounge opens out through wide patio doors to a timber railed balcony.  From here there are stunning views over the rear garden and the tidal estuary across to Crantock beach and the sea beyond.  Also on this level is a well equipped fitted kitchen sharing the same marvellous views.

On the ground floor there is a shower room W.C. with hand basin, a bathroom W.C. with vanity basin and sunken bath.  There are two further bedrooms; a twin bedded room and the master bedroom with a 5ft double and views of the River Gannel

At the rear of the property, a pretty landscaped garden built into the hillside has a paved terrace with lovely views of the river Gannel as the tide ebbs and flows. There are several areas of lawn well screened with mature trees and shrubs.  Beyond the gate at the bottom of the garden, a rough hillside path with a very steep descent leads to the water front where it is possible to swim when the tide is in – only for the more adventurous.

The nearest pub and local store are within a ten minute walk and for a wider choice of shops, pubs and restaurants Newquay is one mile.  There are several excellent beaches nearby, including Crantock and Fistral with its fine golden sands and surfing centre which is the nearest about half a mile away.  There is an abundance of visitor attractions in Newquay including a cinema, zoo, aquarium and waterworld leisure park.  Riding stables, golf, a bowling alley and boating lake are all close by and a regular bus service operates to Newquay town and railway station.
