Appledore has an abundance of unspoilt charm, its many fishermen's cottages tucked away in a maze of narrow cobbled pathways, and Corner Cottage, as you may expect, nestles in the corner between two similar cottages. Being in 'reverse style,' to take full advantage of the fabulous views, stairs lead to the cosy open plan first floor living room with the modern kitchen area to one end and comfortable seating area at the other. There is a bay window with French doors which when fully open create a balcony area inside the living room where you may sit and enjoy the panoramic views over the estuary. There are two bedrooms and a small bathroom on the ground floor; the double bedroom enjoys estuary views, and the small bunk bedded room is suitable for children under 11 years only. The pretty quayside with shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants is just a short stroll away. Corner Cottage is ideally suited for couples or young families seeking a good base from which to explore this beautiful area.

Accommodation: Ground floor: Hall. Bedroom 1 with Double. Bedroom 2 with 2'6" Bunks for children under 11years only. Bathroom with bath and fitted shower over bath and basin. First floor: Open plan living/kitchen/dining room with TV(incorporating Freeview and a DVD/CD player). Kitchen area with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer and dishwasher. Huge picture windows capture the views from every angle both in the kitchen and spacious living /dining room where French doors lead out onto the paved patio and beautifully kept gardens. With four bedrooms, the flexibility of sleeping arrangements is a great bonus and with level access to the property, throughout the ground floor, and a double room with en suite low level shower unit, Tidal View is also particularly suitable for less mobile guests. Three bedrooms, one with ensuite, and a lovely family bathroom are on the ground floor and a second double with ensuite and fabulous Jacuzzi style bath is on the lower ground floor, with its own access to the garden. For storage of surfboards, bikes or beach equipment ample space is provided in the garage. A fairly steep downhill stroll brings you to the picturesque quay and quaint village streets of Appledore, where pretty pastel coloured fishermen's cottages line cobbled streets. The wide sandy beach of Westward Ho! known as Golden Bay is just a short drive away, perfect for families with small children or equally popular with avid surfers. With so much to see and do there is something to suit all tastes and ages in this beautiful area, and Tidal View is a wonderful choice for your holiday base.

Tucked away in a charming narrow street within a short stroll of the bustling Quay, decked with flowers in high summer, Birds Cottage is a delightful home in this "Little White Fishing Village". The bright and welcoming living room features an impressive stone fireplace with wood burning stove, ideal for cosy evenings at any time of the year. A separate dining room also features an attractive brick and stone fireplace and a butler sink in the kitchen adds to the character. Upstairs are three attractive bedrooms, the double having an iron bedstead and one of the single rooms also having a pull out bed, ideal for flexible sleeping arrangements. All are all served by a separate modern bathroom. Why not stroll down to the quay for a scenic boat trip or trying your hand at crabbing or fishing from the water's edge. Just across the river the popular village of Instow, with its safe sandy beach and array of yachts and sailing craft is well worth a visit or for fabulous surfing waves Westward Ho! is just a five minute drive away.
