The popular resort of Pwllheli (7 miles) is also a favourite with the sailing fraternity and at Criccieth (10 miles) there is a castle sitting high on a rocky promontory overlooking Cardigan Bay. Caernarfon's magnificent castle narrow gauge steam railways and the mountains of Snowdonia are all within easy reach. Shops and a pub serving food are ½ mile.
