With breathtaking views over a picturesque coastal valley, this detached property enjoys a tranquil setting high above Lee Bay, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. With stylish contemporary decor throughout, the spacious living/ dining room has full width patio doors opening onto an enormous decked terrace, a real suntrap enjoying stunning views over the valley. This fabulous space is ideal for outdoor dining after a trip to the beach or walks along the rugged coastal path. The modern fitted kitchen is well equipped and has a further utility area which also leads onto the terrace. For younger guests, a generous games room offers much to choose from, including table football and Playstation 2 with games. With plenty of space for comfy leather sofas, TV/DVD and stereo, this room is a real bonus. All of the bedrooms are attractively presented, on the ground floor one double and two twin bedrooms share the modern bathroom and additional separate cloakroom. Upstairs a lovely dual aspect double bedroom has French doors opening onto a delightful roof terrace with views of the ocean, perfect for sunset cocktails. A further spacious double bedroom, which has an additional single bed to allow flexible sleeping arrangements, benefits from a modern ensuite shower room. The compact bunk room is suitable for small children and a separate shower room is also on this floor. A driveway provides parking for several cars and the rear garden enjoys fabulous rural views. The rock and sand cove of Lee Bay is just a short downhill stroll or hop in the car to visit the wonderful golden sandy beaches of Woolacombe and Croyde, just a ten minute drive away. For the more energetic, a multitude of coastal or inland walks stem from the village. Highview is a perfect home from home for discerning guests in this beautiful area.

The inner hallway and porch have flagstone flooring and the wood burning stove keeps the living room cosy. A real bonus is the large conservatory with lovely views overlooking the garden and valley. At the other end of the cottage is a large garden room off the kitchen ideal as an extra sitting room, with patio doors directly onto the garden and a large utility room with ample storage space. Accommodation overview: A unique 16th century former Mill House sitting right on the waters edge in Lee Bay, overflowing with character and charm.

The Mill House is a wonderful 16th Century listed property standing right on the water's edge of Lee Bay and has been featured both in magazines and on television. Period features include the original milling room, inglenook fireplace, bread ovens, boathouse and the drawbridge over the mill race. A stable door leads you directly into the fabulous kitchen with granite work surfaces and central island with Bombo stools. Dining can be enjoyed in the original Mill Room with views looking out to sea and where French doors give access to the terrace and gardens. The main living room boasts a flagstone floor with inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove and in addition there is a second comfortable sitting room with open fireplace. With five bedrooms in total, bedroom five is located on a mezzanine floor over the Mill Room, accessed via open wooden steps, which are narrow and steep. All are served by a separate bathroom and modern shower room with twin head walk-in power shower plus a separate WC. The front terrace is enclosed by a stone wall, and the rear garden is on several levels with patios and an area of level lawn with garden furniture perfect for al fresco dining. Boundaries with the bay are secure with railings and the mill race is safely covered with steel mesh. You can sit out on the terrace overlooking the bay and enjoy a drink, barbecue and the fabulous sunsets. Alternatively, it's wonderful to sit inside around one of the log fires with the sound of crashing waves outside. The Mill House makes a fabulous holiday home all year round.
