Accommodation overview: Wexford is a beautifully furnished timber chalet situated on Seven Acres Caravan Park, at the entrance to the beautiful valleys of Eskdale and Wasdale where you will find Englands favourite view. Seven Acres is conveniently located off the A595 between the villages of Gosforth (approx 1/2 mile) and Holmrook, minutes from the sea and next to the mountains of the Western Lakes. In Gosforth you will find shops, pubs and restaurants. Places of interest nearby include Muncaster Castle and Owl Centre, and the Laal Ratty miniature railway. Seven Acres is close to both the deepest lake and the highest mountain in England, Wastwater and Sca Fell Pike.

Accommodation overview: Nook Cottage is a lovely well stocked Lake District cottage with a coal fire and enclosed courtyard and garden. It is an ideal base for families to relax and have fun on Silecroft beach or explore the western lakes and fells. Silecroft lies in the quiet South Eastern corner of the Lake District National Park nestling between the sea and Black Coombe. Wordsworth described the area as "where the mountains meet the sea". The fabulous and challenging Black Coombe can be tackled by walking from the front door, the other lakes and mountains are only a short scenic drive away.

There are also 2 holiday villages in Silloth, with swimming pools and leisure facilities, one within a few hundred metres.

Accommodation overview: From the moment you get out of your car a feeling of calm will descend over you and all the stresses of modern day living will vanish. The hamlet of Bootle Station is the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Station Cottage has an unusual location, adjoining the owners home, Station House situated right on the station itself. There are only 7 trains a day trundling along this line which runs from Carlisle to Barrow. The beach is within easy walking distance, where you can walk for miles along this unspoilt coastline. The beautiful valley, of Eskdale and Wasdale are close by. The miniature railway at Ravenglass, affectionately known as Laal Ratty will take you all the way to Eskdale Green, the kids will love it. Also at Ravenglass is Muncaster Castle and grounds. Dating back almost a 1000 years it is the ancestral home of the Pennington family and is a must see on your holiday.

Newly built in 2004 and designed with a cottage style in mind, The Spinney is luxuriously furnished and equipped with a Four Poster bed and cosy open fire giving a romantic air to the accommodation. Situated in the village of Lamplugh in a wonderful rural location 6 miles south of Cockermouth, it is close to Loweswater, Ennerdale Water and Crummock Water. This peaceful non-commercialised area of the Lake District is the perfect setting for a romantic break. Fishing is available locally at Cogra Moss, which is within walking distance and there are many other beautiful walks locally. The Coast to Coast cycle route goes past the front door and the award winning Kirkstile Inn is close by for bar meals. Cockermouth is well worth a visit, with shops, restaurants, Brewery Tours and the Lakeland Sheep and Wool centre to name a few of the attractions. Trotters Animal World is a mere 20 minute drive and the seaside town of St Bees is a similar distance.
