Accommodation overview: This semi-detached renovated 18th century holiday cottage (only 5 minutes’ walk from Myrtle Loft ref E2859) is close to Instow’s sandy beach and the famed Tarka Trail. Local shops and a choice of fine pubs and restaurants are within easy walking distance. A pedestrian ferry crosses the River Torridge to Appledore (April to October) where visitors will find pubs shops galleries and a lively quay from where plentiful boat and fishing trips depart. Within easy reach are Bideford (3 miles) from whose busy quayside visitors can catch a ferry to Lundy Island (2 hours) or visit the farmers’ market or Westward Ho! a family beach resort. The Eden Project is a 1.5 hour drive. Spacious open plan sitting room with wood burning stove slate floor well equipped kitchen and dining area. Cloakroom/WC. Accommodation overview: FABULOUS HOUSE ON MARINE PARADE WITH LOVELY RIVER VIEWS AND STROLL TO BEACH AND PUBS In a very sought after location on the river front in Instow, this large terraced house is a short walk to many amenities. You will be able to stroll to the sand dune beach on the River Torridge, which is popular with bathers and sand castle makers, as well as the adjacent village shop, yacht club, pubs and very well known restaurants. The Tarka Trail can be accessed in less than 1 minute and is perfect for walkers, with some lovely riverside views, along the former railway line. Venture further afield and explore the many attractions North Devon has to offer including a range of surfing beaches, Tapeley Park, The Big Sheep, National Trust Arlington Court, The Oldenburg for day trips to Lundy Island and much more. In the evenings relax in the pleasant enclosed garden or enjoy village hospitality in the local pub. Seasonally, take the passenger ferry across to the historic fishing village of Appledore which also offers a range of good pubs and restaurants.
