Accommodation overview: A former ale house, this one double bedroom property was originally built around 1470. Feather Cottage is furnished to a simple style that assists an authentic feel but all the modern conveniences are in place. Peasenhall lies along a valley running east to west and Peasenhall's main street (the A1120) runs alongside the 'Causeway' - a brook, which is now a culvert with bridges across it. On either side are pretty cottages, some in traditional Suffolk pink, some thatched, others slated or roofed with pantiles. The nearest pub is only a 20 minute walk away to The White Horse in Sibton. Peasenhall has a village stores, a renowned delicatessen, a family butchers and cafe. It's an ideal location from which to explore Suffolk's country footpaths and country lanes as well as exploring the pretty villages and market towns along the Suffolk Heritage Coast which is a short fifteen minutes away. Varieties of footpaths lead from the village out over open fields and are ideal for walking or cycling. Quieter in high season than the coast itself but close to Aldeburgh, Walberswick and Southwold is Feather Cottage. This is a lovely spot to enjoy meals al fresco or evening drinks under the stars. A gravel path and steps lead up to the front entrance and into the open plan living room with comfy leather sofa and flat screen wall mounted TV. The modern kitchen area is well equipped, featuring a breakfast bar, and there is one double bedroom with an ensuite shower room. Weez House is an ideal choice for surfers, and keen walkers will enjoy exploring the footpath leading almost from the doorstep to the stunning beach at Putsborough around 20 minutes away. To holiday with friends we also have a cottage called Thatcher’s Leggett in the same location. Croyde offers everything you could need in a seaside village, a renowned surfing beach, character cottages and a great selection of pubs and restaurants. Weez House is something a little different, perfect for couples and a welcoming retreat at the end of a fun filled day. Please note that infants are not accepted. Accommodation overview: Rose Cottage is just 200 yards from the sandy beach. It is a detached, single storey, compact property. Hunstanton is a popular traditional seaside town, with a long sandy beach backed by distinctive striped cliffs. There are reminders of its Victorian origins including the promenade, the large green and the attractive esplanade gardens. Hunstanton town offers a host of activities for the family including a Sea Life Centre, a fun fair, tennis courts, bowling green and a sports and leisure centre with indoor swimming pool, crazy golf and pitch & putt course. A little further along is quieter Old Hunstanton, which is a picturesque village with mellow carstone houses, an impressive medieval church and a championship golf course, there is also a new eighteen hole golf course at nearby Heacham Manor. The nature reserves at Scolt Head, Titchwell and Holme Dunes are just a short distance away. The coastal footpaths in the area are great for walking and bird-watching. The Royal Sandringham Estate is approximately eight miles away, a wonderful day out with its cycling, walking and picnic opportunities.
Detached and all on one level, this compact, pretty cottage is situated in the grounds of the owner's home. It is only 300 yards from the sandy beach and the Coast Hopper bus stops just outside the cottage, which is very convenient for travelling to all the great coastal locations nearby. The coastal village of Stiffkey is set in An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has one of the richest salt marshes for wildlife in the country, providing excellent opportunities for both ornithology and walking. The sandy beaches at Holkham and Wells are just four miles along the coast and sailing is available at nearby Morston and Blakeney. Stiffkey has a shop and a pub which serves food, with further amenities available in the lovely Georgian town of Holt, which is seven miles away.
