Accommodation overview: Nestling in a pretty Devon village just on the edge of Exmoor National Park, this lovely conversion has been stylishly renovated and is perfect for couples and families. Brayford is one of those picturesque traditional Devon villages that you may only discover by chance. Situated just on the edge of Exmoor National Park surrounded by rolling fields and woodland and with the River Bray running through the centre, it is an ideal location from which to explore all this wonderful area has to offer. Built in the 19th century as a Baptist Chapel and Manse, this lovely conversion is at the heart of the village and enjoys a south facing garden leading to a one and a half acre paddock bordered by a stream. Hidden on the chapel side of the building, which is the owners own occasionally used holiday home is a small plot of headstones. Entering through the large conservatory into the hallway you will find to the right a stylish comfortable sitting room with original fireplace and to the left an attractive modern dining kitchen. A useful boot room and cloakroom completes the ground floor accommodation. Upstairs are two attractive bedrooms, the master double features a lovely beamed ceiling and has a separate spacious dressing room with futon, ideal for flexible sleeping arrangements and the pristine modern bathroom is ensuite. The twin room has the benefit of a separate cloakroom with WC, however access to the bathroom is through the master bedroom, making this property ideally suited to families or couples. As may be expected in a cottage of this era, there are some low doorways and ceilings in parts. The spectacular North Devon coastline or the beauty of Exmoor National Park is within easy driving distance and a whole range of outdoor activities will ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy.
