The charming seaside town of Sheringham is an excellent location for a holiday in beautiful North Norfolk. The award-winning beach is of flint pebbles when the tide is high, giving way to a large expanse of smooth sand as the tide recedes. Cliffs rise on either side of the town, which has a backdrop of wooded hills, including those in the wonderful Sheringham Park. Sheringham is also home to The North Norfolk Steam Railway, Splash Leisure Centre, a golf course and an excellent selection of shops, tea-rooms, pubs and restaurants.

Thornham is a quiet picturesque village that forms part of the conservation area on the North West Norfolk Coast. There is a wide sandy beach and a small harbour, both of which form part of a local nature reserve. There are some excellent pub/restaurants in the village one of which has won an award in 2010. The coastal town of Hunstanton is just four miles away, it has a sandy beach and many attractions for children. The Coast Hopper bus can take you to Wells, the RSPB reserve at Titchwell and villages including Brancaster and Burnham Market, an excellent opportunity to leave the car behind and enjoy the scenery.

Green Side Cottage is a delightful 300-year-old cottage situated in the heart of the village, within walking distance of all the village amenities, which include some excellent pubs and restaurants. A stable door off the kitchen leads to a rear patio providing a good sitting out area. Fairly steep stairs, narrow in parts, in keeping with an older character cottage lead to the first floor with two pretty bedrooms and a large modern bathroom with a white period style suite. Wilrose Cottage is only a short walk from the centre of Lynmouth, with its harbour and variety of shops and tearooms.
