Being in 'reverse style,' to take full advantage of the fabulous views, stairs lead to the cosy open plan first floor living room with the modern kitchen area to one end and comfortable seating area at the other. There is a bay window with French doors which when fully open create a balcony area inside the living room where you may sit and enjoy the panoramic views over the estuary. There are two bedrooms and a small bathroom on the ground floor; the double bedroom enjoys estuary views, and the small bunk bedded room is suitable for children under 11 years only. The pretty quayside with shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants is just a short stroll away. Corner Cottage is ideally suited for couples or young families seeking a good base from which to explore this beautiful area.

Longstraw nestles at the end of a row of three, with a large lawned garden to the side and pretty patio to the front looking out over the countryside. Just a few minutes stroll will take you to the village centre with its charming mix of thatched cottages, local stores and a great choice of pubs and restaurants. The beach path also winds its way from the village to beautiful Croyde Bay and the softest golden sands backed by dunes. Being in the same location as our cottage Thatcher’s Leggett gives a perfect opportunity for extended families or friends to enjoy their own space while holidaying together. With a high vaulted ceiling giving a sense of space and light, the spacious comfortable open plan living room has a log burning stove for cosy evenings all through the year and a modern well equipped kitchen /dining area. An attractive twin bedroom and shower room is also on the ground floor. From the entrance hallway a solid wood staircase rises up to the mezzanine floor and a spacious double bedroom with separate dressing room and ensuite bathroom. This attractive galleried landing area, with far reaching views, is a lovely spot for relaxing in the comfy chairs to read a book or the morning papers, and a second TV is a useful bonus for families. A real treat is the large lawn to the side of the cottage, ideal for children to run and play, and the pretty front patio is just perfect for leisurely al fresco meals, barbecues or just relaxing at any time of day. Keen walkers will enjoy taking the footpath to stunning Putsborough beach, which leads almost from the doorstep and takes around twenty minutes.
