From the charming hallway, as often found in cottages of this age, the bathroom is on the ground floor while upstairs are three stylish bedrooms and a convenient cloakroom. Good size private lawned gardens are to the rear, with a small covered pond; please take care with small children. A popular local pub with excellent menu is just a short drive or fifteen minute walk away. Marwood Hill Gardens just up the road is well worth a visit, especially if you treat yourself to a Devon cream tea in the garden room. Adjacent to the owners own home we are delighted to offer four high quality stone built cottages, recently converted from the original farm buildings, using ECO friendly under floor heating and with excellent facilities. A fairly steep staircase, typical in properties of this era, takes you up to the separate bathroom and attractive master bedroom where you will be lulled to sleep by the sound of a nearby waterfall tumbling through a cleft down to the sea. Both rooms have stunning views. There is a stream just across the front lawn separated by a low wall. A short stroll leads down to the pebble beach, where at low tide soft sandy inlets appear between the rock pools. The famous village of Clovelly is well worth a visit, via the coastal path, and you can take a fishing trip from the small cove or simply explore the ancient cobbled streets. Westward Ho! and it’s fabulous stretch of golden sands, popular with surfers is just a ten minute drive away. Boat trips to Lundy Island in Summer offer a rare opportunity to see seals, dolphins, puffins and other diverse wildlife in their natural habitat. There is so much to see and do in this unspoilt part of North Devon, and Williams Cottage is a really special home to return to.
