Imagine waking to the sounds of the sea and taking an early morning, five to ten minute stroll, to the beautiful sandy beach to catch the surf, or just relaxing in the balmy summer evenings whilst enjoying the most spectacular sunsets, absolutely wonderful! With tremendous character and furnished with flair, the warm and welcoming atmosphere is ideal for groups of friends and families and the generous proportions ensure there is plenty of space for everyone. All of the rooms evoke the feeling of an eclectic mix of design direct from the pages of a home style magazine, making this lovely semi detached property something rather special. You may need to take care with toddlers but older children will appreciate the climbing frame and slide, while the adults just relax and take in those spectacular sea views. After a busy day on the beach or out exploring this wonderful area what could be better than relaxing in the indoor hot tub, a luxurious bonus to this splendid holiday retreat. The entrance hall leads through to a large living / dining room with comfy sofas and table and chairs to seat eight. The attractive country style well equipped kitchen also provides a table and chairs, perfect for leisurely breakfast or less formal dining. A ground floor shower room is also found off the hall. Upstairs, accessed from the spacious landing are four stylish bedrooms. The master double room, with King Size bed has an ensuite shower room. Bedroom two is a double, making the property perfect for two family occupation. Bedroom three is a triple room with a double and a single bed, and bedroom four an attractive single. A modern pristine family bathroom serves these rooms. Outside and in front of the cottage is a lawned garden with garden furniture and barbecue, and there is ample parking available both in the car port and on the lane. Longstraw nestles at the end of a row of three, with a large lawned garden to the side and pretty patio to the front looking out over the countryside. Just a few minutes stroll will take you to the village centre with its charming mix of thatched cottages, local stores and a great choice of pubs and restaurants. The beach path also winds its way from the village to beautiful Croyde Bay and the softest golden sands backed by dunes. Being in the same location as our cottage Thatcher’s Leggett gives a perfect opportunity for extended families or friends to enjoy their own space while holidaying together. With a high vaulted ceiling giving a sense of space and light, the spacious comfortable open plan living room has a log burning stove for cosy evenings all through the year and a modern well equipped kitchen /dining area. An attractive twin bedroom and shower room is also on the ground floor. From the entrance hallway a solid wood staircase rises up to the mezzanine floor and a spacious double bedroom with separate dressing room and ensuite bathroom. This attractive galleried landing area, with far reaching views, is a lovely spot for relaxing in the comfy chairs to read a book or the morning papers, and a second TV is a useful bonus for families. A real treat is the large lawn to the side of the cottage, ideal for children to run and play, and the pretty front patio is just perfect for leisurely al fresco meals, barbecues or just relaxing at any time of day. Keen walkers will enjoy taking the footpath to stunning Putsborough beach, which leads almost from the doorstep and takes around twenty minutes.

Approached via a narrow track of just over one third of a mile - unsuitable for low suspension or extra wide vehicles - it adjoins the owners own holiday cottage, just used occasionally.
