Brayford is one of those picturesque traditional Devon villages that you may only discover by chance. Situated just on the edge of Exmoor National Park surrounded by rolling fields and woodland and with the River Bray running through the centre, it is an ideal location from which to explore all this wonderful area has to offer. Built in the 19th century as a Baptist Chapel and Manse, this lovely conversion is at the heart of the village and enjoys a south facing garden leading to a one and a half acre paddock bordered by a stream. Hidden on the chapel side of the building, which is the owners own occasionally used holiday home is a small plot of headstones. Entering through the large conservatory into the hallway you will find to the right a stylish comfortable sitting room with original fireplace and to the left an attractive modern dining kitchen. A useful boot room and cloakroom completes the ground floor accommodation. Access to J27 of the M5 is less than an hour away. As soon as you enter through the pillared wooden gates onto the private sweeping driveway, you will know you have arrived somewhere really special to relax and unwind. The spacious contemporary accommodation is light and bright throughout, with high quality furnishings, stylishly presented. A superbly equipped kitchen/dining room is at the heart of the house, where the whole family can gather for leisurely breakfasts or catch up on the days adventures over dinner. In the grounds just across the gravelled car park there is a delightful self contained cottage that sleeps two with its own kitchen/diner and bathroom.
