With a good variety of shops locally, and within an easy drive of Exmoor, Lyn Cottage offers a good base from which to explore this stunning area, with rugged coastline and moorland walking.

Nestling in the grounds of the owners own beautiful 16th century thatched Devon Longhouse, the elevated position ensures stunning countryside views and on a clear day Croyde Bay can be glimpsed from the south facing balcony. This is a lovely spot to enjoy meals al fresco or evening drinks under the stars. A gravel path and steps lead up to the front entrance and into the open plan living room with comfy leather sofa and flat screen wall mounted TV. The modern kitchen area is well equipped, featuring a breakfast bar, and there is one double bedroom with an ensuite shower room. Weez House is an ideal choice for surfers, and keen walkers will enjoy exploring the footpath leading almost from the doorstep to the stunning beach at Putsborough around 20 minutes away. To holiday with friends we also have a cottage called Thatcher’s Leggett in the same location. Croyde offers everything you could need in a seaside village, a renowned surfing beach, character cottages and a great selection of pubs and restaurants. Weez House is something a little different, perfect for couples and a welcoming retreat at the end of a fun filled day. Please note that infants are not accepted.

The local villagers will tell you that it was formerly known as The Police House, so it's very interesting to find it sits adjacent to the very popular Thatched Barn Inn! The huge open plan kitchen / dining room is the hub of the house, where everyone can gather for convivial meals and wander out onto the pretty lawned garden through a choice of three sets of French doors. The fully enclosed rear patio and lawn backing onto open fields is ideal for a leisurely barbecue with the sound of the waves in the distance, and younger guests will love the space to run and play. The living room, complemented by solid wood flooring, has comfy leather sofas surrounding the attractive ornamental fireplace. A useful utility room has plenty of storage for beach equipment, coats and boots, and a conveniently placed small wet room is ideal for surfers and sand covered children returning straight from the beach. There are four bedrooms on the first floor, the double having an ensuite bathroom and a separate small study/nursery. French doors open onto a decked balcony, with patio furniture, having lovely views over the surrounding countryside and spiral staircase to the garden below. A further double room, a bunk room and a single room are served by a separate shower room. On the second floor the loft has been cleverly converted to provide a snug area with comfy sofa and bean bags leading to both a double and a twin room together with separate modern bathroom. Caen House is a welcoming home where fabulous memories will be made and you will never want to leave!

Tucked down a single track lane in the tiny hamlet of Cove and with stunning far reaching views over the lush hills and valleys, this working farm really is a perfect country retreat. The little town of Bampton is just 3 miles away with a lovely choice of shops pubs and restaurants, while Tiverton, a ten minute drive, offers a wide selection of attractions including the twelfth century Tiverton Castle and Bickleigh Mill, located on the River Exe and offering trout lakes and fishing with picnic area, farm shops, waterside tea garden and much more. Just a few miles to the north, Exmoor National Park has something for everyone, walking, climbing, cycling or just enjoying a cream tea in the coastal resort of Lynmouth where spectacular cliffs plunge down to the sea. Adjacent to the owners own home we are delighted to offer four high quality stone built cottages, recently converted from the original farm buildings, using ECO friendly under floor heating and with excellent facilities. Overlooking the shared front lawned garden, each cottage has an individual patio with garden furniture. A special treat is the outdoor Jacuzzi Spa Pool which is available to all guests throughout the year. A discount of 10% is available should all of the cottages be booked together for a group of family or friends.

Accommodation overview: Nestling in a pretty Devon village just on the edge of Exmoor National Park, this lovely conversion has been stylishly renovated and is perfect for couples and families.

Brayford is one of those picturesque traditional Devon villages that you may only discover by chance. Situated just on the edge of Exmoor National Park surrounded by rolling fields and woodland and with the River Bray running through the centre, it is an ideal location from which to explore all this wonderful area has to offer. Built in the 19th century as a Baptist Chapel and Manse, this lovely conversion is at the heart of the village and enjoys a south facing garden leading to a one and a half acre paddock bordered by a stream. Hidden on the chapel side of the building, which is the owners own occasionally used holiday home is a small plot of headstones. Entering through the large conservatory into the hallway you will find to the right a stylish comfortable sitting room with original fireplace and to the left an attractive modern dining kitchen. A useful boot room and cloakroom completes the ground floor accommodation. Upstairs are two attractive bedrooms, the master double features a lovely beamed ceiling and has a separate spacious dressing room with futon, ideal for flexible sleeping arrangements and the pristine modern bathroom is ensuite. The twin room has the benefit of a separate cloakroom with WC, however access to the bathroom is through the master bedroom, making this property ideally suited to families or couples.
