Delightfully restored inside, modern features combine with original touches and as might be expected the ceilings are a little lower than usual. The original wooden front door leads into an open plan living room with kitchen and dining areas. An attractive stone fireplace houses an electric wood burning stove, perfect for cosy cooler evenings and the open tread staircase leads up to two lovely bedrooms and modern bathroom. Outside there is a garden mostly lawned and with a small patio to the side, an idyllic spot to relax in peace and tranquillity within the sound of the nearby trickling stream. A village store and Post office is just under a mile away for those everyday essentials. Georges Cottage is in a wonderfully central location along this part of the coastline, ideal for exploring the pretty villages, wide sandy beaches and family attractions of both Devon and North Cornwall.

Nestling in the grounds of the owners own beautiful 16th century thatched Devon Longhouse, the elevated position ensures stunning countryside views and on a clear day Croyde Bay can be glimpsed from the south facing balcony. This is a lovely spot to enjoy meals al fresco or evening drinks under the stars. A gravel path and steps lead up to the front entrance and into the open plan living room with comfy leather sofa and flat screen wall mounted TV. The modern kitchen area is well equipped, featuring a breakfast bar, and there is one double bedroom with an ensuite shower room. Weez House is an ideal choice for surfers, and keen walkers will enjoy exploring the footpath leading almost from the doorstep to the stunning beach at Putsborough around 20 minutes away. To holiday with friends we also have a cottage called Thatcher’s Leggett in the same location. Croyde offers everything you could need in a seaside village, a renowned surfing beach, character cottages and a great selection of pubs and restaurants. Weez House is something a little different, perfect for couples and a welcoming retreat at the end of a fun filled day. Please note that infants are not accepted. Accommodation overview: Nestling in a pretty Devon village just on the edge of Exmoor National Park, this lovely conversion has been stylishly renovated and is perfect for couples and families. Brayford is one of those picturesque traditional Devon villages that you may only discover by chance. Situated just on the edge of Exmoor National Park surrounded by rolling fields and woodland and with the River Bray running through the centre, it is an ideal location from which to explore all this wonderful area has to offer. Built in the 19th century as a Baptist Chapel and Manse, this lovely conversion is at the heart of the village and enjoys a south facing garden leading to a one and a half acre paddock bordered by a stream. Hidden on the chapel side of the building, which is the owners own occasionally used holiday home is a small plot of headstones. Entering through the large conservatory into the hallway you will find to the right a stylish comfortable sitting room with original fireplace and to the left an attractive modern dining kitchen. A useful boot room and cloakroom completes the ground floor accommodation. Upstairs are two attractive bedrooms, the master double features a lovely beamed ceiling and has a separate spacious dressing room with futon, ideal for flexible sleeping arrangements and the pristine modern bathroom is ensuite. The twin room has the benefit of a separate cloakroom with WC, however access to the bathroom is through the master bedroom, making this property ideally suited to families or couples. As may be expected in a cottage of this era, there are some low doorways and ceilings in parts. The spectacular North Devon coastline or the beauty of Exmoor National Park is within easy driving distance and a whole range of outdoor activities will ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy.
