Step from the porch into an attractive hallway and through to a light filled dual aspect sitting / dining room, with a lovely period fireplace to enjoy an open fire on cooler evenings. The stylish modern fitted kitchen is well equipped for all your needs and leads out onto the sunny south facing rear garden where stone steps lead up to a fabulous decked area perfect for al fresco meals or just relaxing in the warm summer evenings. Back inside the wide staircase and spacious galleried landing gives access to the stylish bedrooms and family bathroom. For surfers the popular beach at Westward Ho! is just five minutes away and the cottage provides an outdoor utility room ideal for storage of wet suits and surfboards. Longstraw nestles at the end of a row of three, with a large lawned garden to the side and pretty patio to the front looking out over the countryside. Just a few minutes stroll will take you to the village centre with its charming mix of thatched cottages, local stores and a great choice of pubs and restaurants. The beach path also winds its way from the village to beautiful Croyde Bay and the softest golden sands backed by dunes. Being in the same location as our cottage Thatcher’s Leggett gives a perfect opportunity for extended families or friends to enjoy their own space while holidaying together. With a high vaulted ceiling giving a sense of space and light, the spacious comfortable open plan living room has a log burning stove for cosy evenings all through the year and a modern well equipped kitchen /dining area. An attractive twin bedroom and shower room is also on the ground floor. From the entrance hallway a solid wood staircase rises up to the mezzanine floor and a spacious double bedroom with separate dressing room and ensuite bathroom. This attractive galleried landing area, with far reaching views, is a lovely spot for relaxing in the comfy chairs to read a book or the morning papers, and a second TV is a useful bonus for families. A real treat is the large lawn to the side of the cottage, ideal for children to run and play, and the pretty front patio is just perfect for leisurely al fresco meals, barbecues or just relaxing at any time of day. Keen walkers will enjoy taking the footpath to stunning Putsborough beach, which leads almost from the doorstep and takes around twenty minutes.
