Imagine relaxing in your own hot tub with a complimentary bottle of bucks fizz, surrounded by secluded gardens, think of a cosy log cabin just perfect for a romantic hideaway yet only a short stroll from Croyde village centre, when staying at Weez House you can have all of this. Nestling in the grounds of the owners own beautiful 16th century thatched Devon Longhouse, the elevated position ensures stunning countryside views and on a clear day Croyde Bay can be glimpsed from the south facing balcony. This is a lovely spot to enjoy meals al fresco or evening drinks under the stars. A gravel path and steps lead up to the front entrance and into the open plan living room with comfy leather sofa and flat screen wall mounted TV. The modern kitchen area is well equipped, featuring a breakfast bar, and there is one double bedroom with an ensuite shower room. Weez House is an ideal choice for surfers, and keen walkers will enjoy exploring the footpath leading almost from the doorstep to the stunning beach at Putsborough around 20 minutes away. To holiday with friends we also have a cottage called Thatcher’s Leggett in the same location. Croyde offers everything you could need in a seaside village, a renowned surfing beach, character cottages and a great selection of pubs and restaurants. Weez House is something a little different, perfect for couples and a welcoming retreat at the end of a fun filled day. Please note that infants are not accepted.

This pretty little cottage is nestled close to the centre of Northam, a popular village situated between Appledore, famous for its winding cobbled streets and colourful quayside and Westward Ho!, with its long sandy beach, popular with surfers and home of the Royal North Devon Golf Club. A good selection of pubs, restaurants and local amenities are on the doorstep and the fabulous Northam Burrows Country Park is within walking distance. Puffin Cottage is just perfect for couples or a small family and is beautifully presented throughout. The stylish open plan living room features a cosy wood burning stove, a real treat on cooler evenings and the cream country style kitchen is complemented by attractive grey slate flooring. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one double and one single, both with handmade bespoke pine furniture and good quality linen. From the single bedroom there are glimpses of the sea. As is often the case with older character properties the sleek modern bathroom is on the ground floor. The very private rear courtyard, although quite compact, is an ideal spot for leisurely breakfasts or relaxing with a glass of wine on balmy summer evenings. With so much to see and do in this wonderful area just one visit to Puffin Cottage may not be enough!

This unique and fascinating cottage, steeped in local history, has been lovingly restored to provide a wonderful holiday retreat. Formerly a working Smithy many of the original features remain. The huge open plan living area with original oak beams and high vaulted ceiling is complemented by contemporary styling. Comfy sofas surround the fireplace with a log burning stove inviting cosy evenings, and a spacious dining area is ideal for leisurely breakfasts. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you could need and more. A wide wooden staircase rises to the landing and on to the Minstrels Gallery where a half loft, originally used to store the iron, has been transformed into a unique double bedroom, open to the high vaulted ceiling and with a balustrade overlooking the living room below. A second compact double bedroom and a single bedroom with views over the town are found off the landing, together with an attractive bathroom. The Smithy provides guests with an opportunity to step back in time and experience the atmosphere of this genuine forge where Mr Bill Prideaux, working up to the age of 89, claimed to be the oldest blacksmith in the country. Today's visitors of course will be able to relax and enjoy their stay with excellent modern facilities and be ideally located right in the heart of Lynton with a choice of shops, restaurants and village inns nearby.
