Located to the edge of the village in a favoured residential area, this fabulous detached home is ideal for a memorable family holiday. Braunton has a great selection of pubs, shops and restaurants and is only a short drive from the gorgeous sandy beaches of Saunton and Croyde. The Tarka Trail runs through the village, perfect for cyclists or walkers to enjoy a variety of landscapes as it winds its way along the route taken by Tarka the Otter in Henry Williamson's famous book. Modern in design, the well thought out accommodation offers a spacious open plan living room and separate dining area with space for all the family to relax after busy days on the beach or at one of the many family attractions nearby. The modern breakfast kitchen is extremely well equipped and leads out onto a path with several steps up to the fully enclosed rear garden area. Mostly lawned, this is a great spot for informal al fresco dining or just sitting with a good book on a sunny afternoon. A convenient ground floor shower room is situated off the internal hallway and stairs rise up to the four attractive bedrooms, the master double room has its own ensuite shower room and there is a further family bathroom. Two double rooms, one twin room and a bunk room offer great flexibility for large families or two family groups holidaying together. Longstraw nestles at the end of a row of three, with a large lawned garden to the side and pretty patio to the front looking out over the countryside. Just a few minutes stroll will take you to the village centre with its charming mix of thatched cottages, local stores and a great choice of pubs and restaurants. The beach path also winds its way from the village to beautiful Croyde Bay and the softest golden sands backed by dunes. Being in the same location as our cottage Thatcher’s Leggett gives a perfect opportunity for extended families or friends to enjoy their own space while holidaying together. With a high vaulted ceiling giving a sense of space and light, the spacious comfortable open plan living room has a log burning stove for cosy evenings all through the year and a modern well equipped kitchen /dining area. An attractive twin bedroom and shower room is also on the ground floor. From the entrance hallway a solid wood staircase rises up to the mezzanine floor and a spacious double bedroom with separate dressing room and ensuite bathroom. This attractive galleried landing area, with far reaching views, is a lovely spot for relaxing in the comfy chairs to read a book or the morning papers, and a second TV is a useful bonus for families. A real treat is the large lawn to the side of the cottage, ideal for children to run and play, and the pretty front patio is just perfect for leisurely al fresco meals, barbecues or just relaxing at any time of day. Keen walkers will enjoy taking the footpath to stunning Putsborough beach, which leads almost from the doorstep and takes around twenty minutes.
