Nestling in the grounds of the owners own beautiful 16th century thatched Devon Longhouse, the elevated position ensures stunning countryside views and on a clear day Croyde Bay can be glimpsed from the south facing balcony. This is a lovely spot to enjoy meals al fresco or evening drinks under the stars. A gravel path and steps lead up to the front entrance and into the open plan living room with comfy leather sofa and flat screen wall mounted TV. The modern kitchen area is well equipped, featuring a breakfast bar, and there is one double bedroom with an ensuite shower room. Weez House is an ideal choice for surfers, and keen walkers will enjoy exploring the footpath leading almost from the doorstep to the stunning beach at Putsborough around 20 minutes away. To holiday with friends we also have a cottage called Thatcher’s Leggett in the same location. Croyde offers everything you could need in a seaside village, a renowned surfing beach, character cottages and a great selection of pubs and restaurants. Weez House is something a little different, perfect for couples and a welcoming retreat at the end of a fun filled day. Please note that infants are not accepted. With a high vaulted ceiling giving a sense of space and light, the spacious comfortable open plan living room has a log burning stove for cosy evenings all through the year and a modern well equipped kitchen /dining area. An attractive twin bedroom and shower room is also on the ground floor. From the entrance hallway a solid wood staircase rises up to the mezzanine floor and a spacious double bedroom with separate dressing room and ensuite bathroom. This attractive galleried landing area, with far reaching views, is a lovely spot for relaxing in the comfy chairs to read a book or the morning papers, and a second TV is a useful bonus for families. The sitting room features an attractive period fireplace with wood burner effect electric stove to keep you cosy all year round and the spacious slate floored kitchen / dining room is ideal for leisurely breakfasts whilst planning the exciting day ahead. A further snug sitting area with comfy sofa can be used either as a second TV room or quiet newspaper reading corner. Completing the ground floor accommodation is a good size conservatory style entrance, great for storage of coats, boots or muddy pets.
