Imagine relaxing in your own hot tub with a complimentary bottle of bucks fizz, surrounded by secluded gardens, think of a cosy log cabin just perfect for a romantic hideaway yet only a short stroll from Croyde village centre, when staying at Weez House you can have all of this. Nestling in the grounds of the owners own beautiful 16th century thatched Devon Longhouse, the elevated position ensures stunning countryside views and on a clear day Croyde Bay can be glimpsed from the south facing balcony. This is a lovely spot to enjoy meals al fresco or evening drinks under the stars. A gravel path and steps lead up to the front entrance and into the open plan living room with comfy leather sofa and flat screen wall mounted TV. The modern kitchen area is well equipped, featuring a breakfast bar, and there is one double bedroom with an ensuite shower room. Weez House is an ideal choice for surfers, and keen walkers will enjoy exploring the footpath leading almost from the doorstep to the stunning beach at Putsborough around 20 minutes away. To holiday with friends we also have a cottage called Thatcher’s Leggett in the same location. Croyde offers everything you could need in a seaside village, a renowned surfing beach, character cottages and a great selection of pubs and restaurants. Weez House is something a little different, perfect for couples and a welcoming retreat at the end of a fun filled day. Please note that infants are not accepted.

Enchanting Watermouth Cove is within a short stroll, with its gently sloping shoreline and abundance of rock pools, this naturally sheltered harbour is a popular mooring for colourful boats of all shapes and sizes. Watermouth Castle is one of North Devon’s premier attractions and offers something for all the family, while the nearby Dinosaur and Wildlife Park is a favourite with children. The Sawmill Inn, a character pub and restaurant is within walking distance and there is a wide choice of pubs, restaurants and shops in Ilfracombe and Combe Martin just a few minutes' drive away. Perched on the cliff top edge of one of the prettiest villages in North Devon, Williams Cottage enjoys breath-taking sea views stretching from Baggy to Hartland Point with Lundy Island on the horizon. Perfect for couples looking for a tranquil retreat, this delightful character cottage is surprisingly spacious and stylishly presented throughout. The sitting room has a cosy wood burning stove and the alcoved window seat is a perfect spot to relax and gaze out at the amazing sea views. From the separate dining room, also with lovely sea views, a few steps lead down into the kitchen which has a stable door opening onto the garden. A fairly steep staircase, typical in properties of this era, takes you up to the separate bathroom and attractive master bedroom where you will be lulled to sleep by the sound of a nearby waterfall tumbling through a cleft down to the sea. Both rooms have stunning views. There is a stream just across the front lawn separated by a low wall. A short stroll leads down to the pebble beach, where at low tide soft sandy inlets appear between the rock pools. The famous village of Clovelly is well worth a visit, via the coastal path, and you can take a fishing trip from the small cove or simply explore the ancient cobbled streets. Westward Ho! and it’s fabulous stretch of golden sands, popular with surfers is just a ten minute drive away. Boat trips to Lundy Island in Summer offer a rare opportunity to see seals, dolphins, puffins and other diverse wildlife in their natural habitat. There is so much to see and do in this unspoilt part of North Devon, and Williams Cottage is a really special home to return to.

A good selection of pubs, restaurants and local amenities are on the doorstep and the fabulous Northam Burrows Country Park is within walking distance. Puffin Cottage is just perfect for couples or a small family and is beautifully presented throughout. The stylish open plan living room features a cosy wood burning stove, a real treat on cooler evenings and the cream country style kitchen is complemented by attractive grey slate flooring. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one double and one single, both with handmade bespoke pine furniture and good quality linen. From the single bedroom there are glimpses of the sea. As is often the case with older character properties the sleek modern bathroom is on the ground floor.
