Thornham is a quiet picturesque village that forms part of the conservation area on the North West Norfolk Coast. There is a wide sandy beach and a small harbour, both of which form part of a local nature reserve. There are some excellent pub/restaurants in the village one of which has won an award in 2010. The coastal town of Hunstanton is just four miles away, it has a sandy beach and many attractions for children. The Coast Hopper bus can take you to Wells, the RSPB reserve at Titchwell and villages including Brancaster and Burnham Market, an excellent opportunity to leave the car behind and enjoy the scenery. The Old Garage lies at the centre of the village and provides a high standard of accommodation. Accommodation overview: 4 Melinda Cottages is a charming fisherman's cottage that has been totally refurbished to a high standard, it is tucked away in a quiet position in this popular sea side village and is only a few minutes walk to the beach, ideal for a family holiday East Runton lies on the A149 coast road between the resorts of Sheringham and Cromer. A steepish lane leads down to the beach where at low tide there is a wide expanse of flat sand perfect for sandcastles or ball games. The beach is backed by high cliffs and there are paths into Cromer or the neighbouring village of West Runton. Away from the coast is a cluster of traditional brick and flint cottages, and an attractive green and duck pond. The village is well placed for exploring the area but if you wish to remain closer to home there are several small shops, two pubs and a restaurant serving meals

It has a wonderful wide beach backed by a small promenade and a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants. Some may enjoy a dip in the sea or perhaps just the chance to relax and enjoy the view, whilst children will love to play on the golden sands. There is a golf course and driving range in the village with both horse riding and sea fishing available locally. Historic houses, steam trains, water sports and nature reserves are all within a short drive.

Accommodation overview: Attractive modern cottage less than ten minutes walk from the beach. Happisburgh (pronounced Haisbro) is a seaside village on the North East Coast of Norfolk. It has considerable historic charm with many thatched cottages and a handsome church, whose tower top is now accessible to visitors. There is a prominent red and white striped lighthouse, and the beach is loved by all age groups. There are some lovely coastal and rural walks in the area and many attractions to visit, including the Broads and the Royal Horticultural Society garden at East Ruston. Heather Cottage is an attractively presented, pleasant, modern cottage. It is well maintained and offers a warm welcome at any time of the year. A shortcut beyond the pub, across a field and down a lane you will come to a new car park and picnic area and a wide sandy bay, all of this only about a ten minute walk from the cottage. Once an important place of pilgrimage, the ruins of Bromholm Priory are still to be seen in Bacton today. The Priory was built in 1113 AD by William de Glanville and was home to the Cluniacs, the Black Monks who purchased a piece of the True Cross, the Bromholm Roode. Ensuing miracles ensured visits by many thousands of pilgrims including King Henry III. The Priory was mentioned in Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, the Domesday Book, and was the subject of a prediction in Mother Shipton's Almanac. Today the coastal village opens its doors to the 21st century pilgrims who visit for their holidays. They enjoy the friendly village atmosphere and the sandy beaches, which are often quiet even in the height of summer. There is a good range of local amenities including pubs, shops, a children's playground and a bowling green. These four beautifully refurbished cottages are set in the extensive mature and secure gardens and grounds of the 16th century Grade II listed Pilgrims House, which was once the farmhouse of Bromholm Priory.
