The beach is less than two miles and, with the traditional seaside resort of Hunstanton five miles away, it is a perfect location for discovering Norfolk's splendid coastline. Ornithologists will enjoy the RSPB reserves close by, there are many excellent walks and cycle rides in the area and Sandringham, the Queen's country estate is nearby. The village has a selection of shops and there are also pubs that serve food, such as the acclaimed Rose and Crown. The sandy beaches at Holkham and Wells are just four miles along the coast and sailing is available at nearby Morston and Blakeney. Stiffkey has a shop and a pub which serves food, with further amenities available in the lovely Georgian town of Holt, which is seven miles away. Nellie's Cottage is an end of terrace cottage. When travelling along the coast road it is easy to spot Nellie's Cottage due to the topiary elephants in the garden, which are sure to raise a smile! It is an ideal location for a holiday at any time of the year and the area is famed for ornithology and has many excellent walks.
