There is a scattering of houses and holiday homes behind the dunes, overlooking the surrounding farmland. Most people will come here for the beach, but the Broads are also easily accessible. The village pubs and shops of Sea Palling are about a mile away, and jet ski hire is also possible here with further amenities available in the nearby towns of Stalham and North Walsham.

Spencer Wall is situated in an ideal location for a seaside holiday, being just a few minutes from the beach. The spacious interior is ideal for families, and the house benefits from a large lawned garden which is great for games. Views of the dunes or open farmland are visible from all windows.. Brancaster and neighbouring Brancaster Staithe are lovely coastal villages, which have much to offer, making them ideal holiday locations at any time of the year. There is a wonderful sandy beach, numerous coastal and countryside walks, a golf course, a tennis court and excellent sailing from Brancaster Staithe. There are three well known pubs The Jolly Sailors, The Ship and The White Horse within the two villages which serve food, or you can buy locally caught sea food. The lovely village of Burnham Market is just a short drive away with its excellent range of shops, restaurants and pubs. The area abounds with numerous opportunities for bird watchers with the RSPB reserve at Titchwell two miles away, which can be reached on foot along the coast path. Boat trips to Scolt Head and sailing are available at Brancaster Staithe.

Accommodation overview: One of four very well appointed cottages offering sympathetically restored accommodation with use of a large recreation barn.

Happisburgh (pronounced Haisbro) is a seaside village on the North East Coast of Norfolk, famous for its red and white lighthouse. It offers visitors a quiet, rural location, sandy beaches and cliff-top walks. The village has a post office/store and a traditional coaching inn, and is within a 15-minute drive of the market towns of North Walsham and Stalham with easy access to the Norfolk Broads and many other tourist attractions.

In past years, Church Farm has been a favoured holiday location for famous artists such as Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Ben Nicholson and Ivon Hitchens, keen to relax in a rural idyll. The large grain barn and stables have been sympathetically converted to retain character and create four beautiful cottages, which all have exposed flint walls and old beams. There is a large recreation barn (9am-8pm) offering a racket sports area, a pool table, table tennis table and a comfortable seating area with books and games. Each cottage has its own door allowing access directly into the recreation barn. Shop/Pub: 0.25 miles

Typically suitable for a person with restricted walking ability and for those that may need to use a wheelchair some of the time.

Hepworth Cottage is a spacious property created from the old stables and one end of the grain barn, and is wheelchair-friendly with easy access via a gentle slope, wider doorways and a large walk-in en-suite shower in the ground floor master bedroom. Artwork in the cottage represents the work of the sculptress Barbara Hepworth. It has an enclosed patio and garden area with gas barbecue, rotary dryer and outside furniture.

With Holme Dunes and Titchwell Nature Reserve on the doorstep and Hunstanton, Burnham Market and Brancaster all within a very short distance, the village is an ideal base for exploring this part of Norfolk's coastline and enjoying its many beaches, walking and cycling opportunities.
