A little further along is quieter Old Hunstanton, which is a picturesque village with mellow carrstone houses, an impressive medieval church and a championship golf course, there is also a new eighteen hole golf course at nearby Heacham Manor. The nature reserves at Scolt Head, Titchwell and Holme Dunes are just a short distance away. The coastal footpaths in the area are great for walking and bird-watching. The pleasant village of Snettisham offers something for everyone, whatever your age and whatever the weather! The beach is less than three miles and, with the traditional seaside resort of Hunstanton five miles away, it is a perfect location for discovering Norfolk's splendid coastline. Ornithologists will enjoy the RSPB reserves close by and there are many excellent walks and cycle rides in the area. There are many attractions offering excellent days out nearby. The village has a selection of shops and there are also many pubs which serve food.

Lilac Cottage and Laburnham Cottage (1189) are pretty red brick terrace cottages with pantile roofs, built in 1910 and situated in the centre of the village conservation area, in a tranquil setting. Holt is seven miles away and offers an excellent variety of specialist shops and dining places. There is an outstanding village shop in Binham located two miles away. In the surrounding villages there are many pubs, which serve good food.

Happisburgh (pronounced Haisbro) is a seaside village on the North East Coast of Norfolk, famous for its red and white lighthouse. It offers visitors a quiet, rural location, sandy beaches and cliff-top walks. The village has a post office/store and a traditional coaching inn and is within a 15-minute drive of the market towns of North Walsham and Stalham with easy access to the Norfolk Broads and many other tourist attractions.

In past years Church Farm has been a favoured holiday location for famous artists such as Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Ben Nicholson and Ivon Hitchens, keen to relax in a rural idyll. The large grain barn and stables have been sympathetically converted to retain character and create four beautiful cottages, which all have exposed flint walls and old beams. There is a large recreation barn (9am-8pm) offering a racket sports area, a pool table, table tennis table and a comfortable seating area with books and games. Each cottage has its own door allowing access directly into the recreation barn. Shop/Pub: 0.25 miles

Moore Cottage has a wealth of exposed beams and flint walls. It has been tastefully decorated and features pictures representing some of the famous works of the sculptor Henry Moore.
