Accommodation overview: This lovely seaside cottage is adjacent to the harbour and the beach in the village of Haverigg sure to be a hit with the children with miles of Sandy beaches including SSS1 class dunes to play or walk the dog. With the Lake District National Park on the doorstep there is a wonderful variety of scenery to explore and enjoy as well as being excellent for bird watching, with an RSPB hide a short walk away. Adults and children alike will enjoy a ride on the 'Laal Ratty' miniature railway in Eskdale and a trip around Muncaster Castle and grounds. The Harbour Hotel in Haverigg has a beer garden and serves bar meals, there is also a village store, beach side cafe and chip shop which are open all year round.

Accommodation overview: The cottage is part of the former Lowther Arms Coaching Inn and its history dates back to 1865 or earlier. Snowdrop Cottage has a perfect situation, next to the golf course in the area locally known as Scilly Banks, the highest point in Whitehaven. The Rose Hill Theatre is within easy walking distance as is the golf course club house, where you can enjoy a meal and a drink. Within easy reach of the tranquil Western Lakes and close to Cumbria's far reaching coastline and the cottage enjoys extensive views to the Western fells and out to the Irish Sea from its rear garden. Whitehaven town centre is just a mile away, this historic seaport has a wealth of amenities, visitor attractions and a marina.
