Directly from the property there is a coastal path which takes you past "Mountbatten Beach", and "Jennycliff Beach" and beyond to "Bovisands", a trio of soft sand beaches with shop and restaurant. Water sports are available at the Mountbatten Centre or the Plymouth sailing school. Mount Batten is a small peninsular surrounded by Plymouth harbour and the River Plym. In the immediate area there is the marina, a beach with stunning views and sunsets, two newly built pubs "The MountBatten" and "The Bridge". A short walk (5 minutes) along the coastal path takes you to Turnchapel, a historic fishing village with a small beach and a few small boats with another two pubs serving excellent food.
