Sherburn is situated halfway between the market town of Malton and the seaside town of Scarborough, in the Vale of Pickering, an excellent area for walking with the Wolds Way running through the owner’s farmland. Scarborough boasts two beautiful beaches and the ruins of a 12th-century castle with its breathtaking views. It offers first class attractions such as the Sea Life Maritime Sanctuary, the Stephen Joseph Theatre - home of playwright Sir Alan Ayckbourne - and the refurbished Rotunda Museum. Music lovers can visit the Spa Complex, home of the only remaining seaside orchestra, or Peasholm Park which offers open air concerts and a variety of family entertainments. The North Yorkshire Moors National Park is close by with its famous steam railway, which offers a relaxing ride through the stunning moorland and forest.
