The lounge enjoys the friendly comfort of an open fire, ensuring this is a cosy cottage, whatever the season and the newly refurbished kitchen overlooks the private garden. The master bedroom and shower room have the added benefit of being at ground floor level and a charming spiral staircase leads from the lounge to the second bedroom and bathroom. The generous mature garden to the rear is enclosed and offers seclusion and privacy - a lovely spot for relaxation. Morebattle is snuggled at the foot of the heather - clad Cheviot Hills, where you can roam to absorb the wild and lonely beauty; it's surrounded by stunning scenery. The village sits along the challenging route of the 'St Cuthbert's Way', an ideal location for those who enjoy walking and cycling. The picturesque market town of Kelso with its quaint cobbled streets is 7 miles away and offers a wide array of facilities including a cinema, indoor swimming, a pottery and ice rink. Golfers will enjoy the prestigious Roxburgh course and Springwood Park showground hosts many international horse riding events throughout the year. The salmon rich River Tweed will delight those who enjoy fishing and Floors Castle (which is softly illuminated at night) is home to the Duke of Roxburgh. The border town of Jedburgh, renowned for its woollen mill and where the Castle Jail and Museum and Mary Queen of Scots House are also interesting visitor attractions only 9 miles West.
