Grove Cottage has grown from humble beginnings as a coachman's dwelling to a TV celebrity in the 1980's where its photogenic exterior and beautiful gardens were regular features of popular BBC sitcom Brush Strokes. Brixton Barn once a National Trust office has been converted with Travertine marble floors underfloor heating and a luxurious ensuite bathroom to provide outstanding accommodation for two. Set just ½ mile from a sandy beach and a ¼ mile stroll from the welcoming local pub and local village stores The Grove enjoys a wonderful location in the medieval village of Brighstone. Totally unspoilt and threaded with lovely walks and cycle paths the surrounding countryside is a joy to explore. There are miles of sandy beaches close by and a great range of attractions within a short drive. Newport 7 miles and sailing at Yarmouth 10 miles.

Accommodation overview: Prettily tucked away on a quiet rural lane Sycamores once a simple country barn has been lovingly transformed into a warm and welcoming holiday cottage boasting vaulted ceilings and original beams. Set adjacent to the owners' home it lies a relaxing amble (½ mile) from the sandy beach and a few hundred yards from the island's only National Trust shop and museum and about a mile from glorious Mottistone Manor and Gardens (also N.T.). The surrounding area is wonderful for walking and cycling and a great array of activities and visitor attractions are easily accessible including a pearl factory and dinosaur farm museum. Pubs serving food and shops are found just over a mile away in Brighstone a village teeming with old world charm and featuring a church dating from 1190.
