Charmouth, which is on the doorstep, is famous for its beaches, fossil hunting, pubs (¾ mile), restaurants and shops. Visitors can explore the beaches and spectacular footpaths along the world famous Jurassic Coast taking in the breathtaking views from the 626ft Golden Cap (which is the highest point on England’s south coast). It forms part of the 2000-acre National Trust Estate.
