Follow the River Helmsdale inland to visit the site of Scotland's own gold rush when prospectors descended on Strath Kildonan in 1869. Nowadays, the clear waters of the Highland streams and lochs attract trout fishermen for excellent sport. The cottage has an attractive sheltered garden with seating on the patio and views of hills, sea and river and there is a sand and shingle beach within 1/4 mile on this beautiful coastline.
