Accommodation overview: These four holiday cottages are on a 200 acre working farm and enjoy panoramic views over the sea to the Antrim mountains, Ailsa Craig and the Mull of Kintyre. This is a beautiful part of the coastline, just 1/2 mile from the ancient fishing village of Ballantrae. Girvan, a popular seaside town is 15 mins. drive. The farm includes 1 1/2 miles of beach, accessed by a short footpath from the main road below the cottages. The area offers fishing, golf at several excellent courses, sailing and horse-racing at Ayr. Shops and pub 1/2 mile, plus excellent local restaurants.
In an elevated position adjacent to farm buildings, 300 metres from the main road, each of the first 3 cottages have wondeful views to the sea.
The bright sunny rooms are simply furnished in homely style, ideal for a relaxed family holiday. We recommend a maximum of 4 adults.

The cottage is close to the famous sandy beaches of the delightful Ayrshire coast and ideally situated for a myriad of golf courses and local fishing. For touring there are interesting coastal towns and the Burns Heritage Trail to explore, scenic glens and magnificent mountains as well as ferry trips to Arran, Cumbrae and Rothesay. Accommodation overview: Beautifully situated at the foot of the Fairlie Moors in a rural location, this 18th Century mill and farmhouse has been tastefully converted into a delightful holiday home. The old mill stream still runs alongside and to the rear is a patio and terrace area with garden furniture, leading down to a burn and paddock (care required with young children). The house is spacious, exceptionally well-appointed with comfortable furnishings and lots of tasteful finishing touches to provide a welcoming atmosphere.
This is an excellent base for a family holiday in the heart of Ayrshire, 10 mins from the coast. Sailing and golf are popular pursuits and day cruises can be enjoyed to Arran, Bute and Millport. There are safe sandy beaches and many fine gardens and places of historical interest to explore. The coastal resort towns of Largs and Ayr are within easy reach. Shops, pub/hotel 2 miles.
