This unique, thatched, former school house (circa 1812) with many original features and landscaped gardens lies in the heart of this pretty Cornish village. Grade II listed and converted to a beautiful holiday home, it stands detached (but has a built-in, self-contained, occupied annexe with separate entrance via communal porch). Boasting panoramic views over Veryan, famous for its historic roundhouses, it is excellently located to explore the picturesque Roseland Peninsula, less than a mile from Pendower and Carne beach, one of the finest sandy Cornish beaches. Portloe has a harbour where crabs, lobster and fish can be bought for a beach barbecue. Shop 100 yards, pub 50 yards. Spacious living room with original stone fireplace. Well-equipped kitchen/dining room with inglenook fireplace and picture window. First floor: Double bedroom with 5ft bed and additional single bed (for +1) and en-suite shower room with double shower cubicle and toilet. Twin bedroom. Fully tiled bathroom with corner bath, double shower cubicle, bidet and toilet.
