The very pretty market town of Kirkby Lonsdale is just 4 miles away, offering shops, inns, restaurants and a golf course.
Cowder Barn is ideally located between two National Parks – the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District – both within easy touring distance and offering some of England’s most dramatic scenery. Rushing rivers flow down the main dales of Wensleydale, Swaledale and Wharfedale, surrounded by the high peaks of the Pennines, and high waterfalls, such as Hardraw Force near Hawes, make spectacular sights. Everywhere grey-stone villages blend effortlessly into an unspoilt landscape. The Lakes offer a land of exciting contrasts – high mountains and deep lakes in an ever-changing array of colours. Fishing and water sports can be enjoyed, or for the less energetic, sheepdog trials, Cumberland wrestling and fell races make good spectator sports. The coast is easily accessible, with the wide sandy beach at Morecambe only 16 miles away. Shops 4 miles, pub 1 mile. Sitting-room with open fire and French door to garden.
