Beautifully situated at the foot of the Fairlie Moors in a rural location, this 18th Century mill and farmhouse has been tastefully converted into a delightful holiday home. The old mill stream still runs alongside and to the rear is a patio and terrace area with garden furniture, leading down to a burn and paddock (care required with young children). The house is spacious, exceptionally well-appointed with comfortable furnishings and lots of tasteful finishing touches to provide a welcoming atmosphere.
This is an excellent base for a family holiday in the heart of Ayrshire, 10 mins from the coast. Sailing and golf are popular pursuits and day cruises can be enjoyed to Arran, Bute and Millport. There are safe sandy beaches and many fine gardens and places of historical interest to explore. The coastal resort towns of Largs and Ayr are within easy reach. Shops, pub/hotel 2 miles.
Ground floor : 1 bedroom with king-size bed, sitting room, kitchen/dining room and formal dining area, study/porch, shower room, utility room. First floor : 1 double bedroom and 1 room with double and single bed (travel cot available), bathroom with shower over bath.
Cooking by electricity, oil-fired central heating. Fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, Freeview television, DVD, CD player. Bed linen and towels provided.
