The beach can be reached via the road, you can walk, but be warned its a steep walk back up. Crackington Haven is the ideal spot for families with its gently shelving beach in an enclosed bay. The upper part of the beach is mainly pebbles, with some small rock pools. There are also a few little shops, a café, pub and a car park beside the beach for those who wish not to walk. The surrounding area has much to offer with an abundance of local attractions, fine beaches and small fishing villages. The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin. Accommodation overview: VIEWS OVER CRACKINGTON HAVEN This converted annexe occupies a quiet spot, situated in the village of Crackington Haven in beautiful North Cornwall. It is just 50 yards from the village shop and post office and 1 mile away from the picturesque beach, which offers a local pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere and good food. There are many attractive walks around the area, which can be accessed from the coastal footpath which will lead you over the magnificent cliffs on either side of the beach. The seaside town of Bude is approximately 8 miles away and offers further good surfing beaches and an abundance of shops and pubs. The accommodation offers ONE bedroom: double fitted into the roof space, so be aware that the ceilings slope down and are low on both sides. Additional z-bed available on request. Decorated and furnished to a good standard and set within a tranquil setting, just minutes away from the wonderful Crackington Haven beach. The barns surround a gravel courtyard, with a small grassed area in the middle, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine. If you fancy a day out, then why not visit one of the many local attractions or take a trip into the traditional seaside town of Bude, which offers something for everyone. The fishing villages of Boscastle and Tintagel are also well worth a visit. The beach is ideal for surfing or rock pooling and the many coastal and woodland walks provide a perfect opportunity for some wildlife spotting - seals, buzzards, deer and feral goats all make their home here. Nestling in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this 250-year-old detached coach house has been beautifully restored. It retains many of its original features, but with underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, wood-burning stove in the living room and master bedroom, light oak beams and limestone floors. Beautifully furnished and presented, it provides a stylish setting in which to relax. Trout can often be seen swimming in the small stream which runs through the garden, whilst the summer house with table tennis, built-in barbecue and seating area make the ideal spot for an evening meal. The large lawn is ideal for croquet or for the children to let off steam and the gardens have many hidden seating areas to escape to with a good book.
