Accommodation overview: West End Farmhouse is situated in an outstandingly beautiful part of the Mendip Hills, on the Waldegrave Estate. It is a very spacious detached holiday house with an attractive conservatory, an enclosed courtyard with covered terrace area, and a single storey annexe with separate living room and bathroom. It is surrounded by acres of rolling pastureland and woodland, all easily accessible, as they are part of the estate. Although the house has been modernised with every modern gadget, including a 42in plasma TV, it retains its original character and charm with open fireplaces and stone-flagged floors. One often sees deer and other wildlife, yet it is only 5 miles from the cathedral city of Wells, 15 miles from the Roman spa city of Bath with its magnificent architecture, or why not visit the caves at Cheddar and Wookey. Just 15 miles to Bristol Airport and its city which is full of history, culture and shops. Glastonbury is 8 miles away, famous for its festival, tor and King Arthur legend. Excellent beaches and seaside entertainment can be enjoyed at Weston Super Mare and Brean. Shop and pubs 2 miles.
