The property is also a perfect base for touring the area which offers a range of attractions to suit all tastes including Brean Leisure Park, Clarks Retail Outlet Village, The historic city of Roman Bath, Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge, Animal Farm Country Park, Brean Down Bird Garden, Start Island for nature lovers, Glastonbury Tor and much more. This one, which you are more than welcome to use, has a graceful weeping willow and several apple trees together with a small brood of chickens at the bottom of the garden. Ideally placed to visit the sandy beaches at Burnham and Brean as well as being close to the wealth of attractions that Somerset has to offer including Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole and Clarks Village. Situated in the centre of the Somerset Levels you will also have a vast choice of walks and cycles routes to choose from, and Alstone Riding Stables are located just down the lane. First two weeks in November is carnival season with the Bridgwater, Burnham and Weston Carnivals a must. There are two pubs in the village both of which serve food. The village has a shop, post office, and garden nursery which is just across the road and a bowls club, excellent children's play area and river all within a 10 minute walk. Situated on the edge of the Somerset Levels you are surrounded by excellent bridle paths for walking and a rich source of wildlife and birds. The area is very flat and excellent for cycling. Equipped and furnished to a high standard, you will be ideally placed for either a relaxing and tranquil holiday or as a base for visiting the many beaches along the North Coast of Somerset as well as a wealth of popular attractions to suit all tastes which include historic Roman Bath, Clarks Village at Street, Longleat Safari Park, numerous National Trust properties and gardens, Brean Leisure Park and more. The regional city of Bristol is a short drive and offers a host of high street shops, cinema, restaurants and theatre. In the evenings relax in the garden. The accommodation which retains much original charm and character with slate and wooden floors offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double and 1 single which has a pull-out bed underneath.
