Originally a traditional farm cottage, the property has been extended and fully modernised to offer a very comfortable, tastefully decorated home from home. The private, enclosed garden faces south and there is a patio and seating area to relax and fully appreciate the lovely view from this elevated position. All rooms are on ground level.
This convenient location provides excellent opportunities for exploring quiet country roads or enjoying the beaches and picturesque villages of the Moray Firth coastline as well as the excellent facilities of Aberdeen - the Granite City. Easy day trips can be taken to Royal Deeside, Balmoral Castle and the magnificent mountain scenery and outdoor activities of the Cairngorm National Park. Newmachar has 2 championship golf courses and a lovely historic inn serving excellent food.

The Granite City of Aberdeen is 25 miles away and has beautiful clean beaches, an international airport and outstanding retail and leisure facilities.

Accommodation overview: Beautifully positioned on an elevated site, this charming country cottage enjoys lovely views south over the Ythan Valley and the village to the rolling landscape of rural Aberdeenshire. On a working farm, the cottage has been completely rebuilt and re-fitted to a very high standard providing superb contemporary accommodation within a traditional exterior. The open plan living area has an open fire and connects to a lovely conservatory with patio doors. All rooms are on ground level and the cottage is wheelchair friendly with portable ramps available. The pretty little village of Methlick is 2 miles by road or 1 mile on a picturesque footpath and it has a shop and inn set around the river and the park. The famous Castle Trail is easily accessible as are the beaches and picturesque fishing villages of the Moray Firth coast, Royal Deeside and the Glen Garioch Distillery visitor centre. Local activities include golf, angling, riding and walking. Aberdeen (25 miles) offers excellent leisure facilities and shopping.
