Accommodation
Dating back to 1893, this detached former stable worker’s cottage oozes charm and character. The trickling waters of Scalby Beck run alongside the holiday cottage and provide a beautiful backdrop for country walks, whilst a short stroll leads to the heart of the village. The elegant seaside town of Scarborough, known as the surfing capital of the North, has a colourful promenade and sandy beaches, and a short drive north leads to the historic port of Whitby. The North Yorkshire Moors steam train can be boarded here to enjoy the breathtaking scenery as it chugs its way through the Esk Valley. Shops 300 yards, pub 150 yards. Large, beamed living room with wood-burning stove. Spacious, beamed dining room. Well-equipped, farmhouse-style kitchen with tiled floor. First floor: Double bedroom with 5ft bed. Twin bedroom with panelled ceiling. Bunk bedroom. Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet.
