In its own grounds with garden furniture provided, the house is comfortably furnished, well-appointed and welcoming. All letting rooms are on ground level.
The rugged north coast offers spectacular cliffs, headlands and secluded sandy beaches. There are links golf courses at Reay and Durness, sea / river angling, bird watching and wildlife, surfing, hill walking, pony trekking and coastal paths - an ideal base for an active holiday or for relaxing at a quiet pace. Bettyhill has shops, hotels, a swimming pool/leisure centre and a lovely beach. The country town of Thurso is 30 miles. A day trip to the Orkney Islands from Scrabster or John o'Groats makes a fascinating outing.
